I just found a real cool screen saver that my brother is using. After a preset time of inactivity your computer screen switches over to an old style flip-over clock. It looks great and is functional. Here’s how to get it going.
- Owners of any of the Macs listed above should have Power Nap enabled by default. To make the Mac “go to sleep”, one can select Apple menu – Sleep from the menu bar, close the screen on a Mac laptop or move the cursor into what’s called a Hot Corner. Hot Corners are defined in the Desktop & Screen Saver system preference.
- Start or stop the screen saver when you move the pointer to a screen corner. See Use hot corners. Click the pop-up menu for a corner, then choose Start Screen Saver or Disable Screen Saver. To use a modifier with the hot corner, press and hold the Command, Shift, Option, or Control key, or a combination of these keys, while viewing the pop-up.
- Let’s say you start a big download, then go to bed. When you wake up, you realize your Mac went to sleep before finishing its job. Isn’t there some way to stop this? You probably know you can go into your Mac’s System Preferences Energy Saver and change how often it goes to sleep.
- Choose the Desktop & Screen Saver pane. Click the Hot Corners button at the bottom right of the window. In the drop down window, choose a corner. Click on the menu and choose either Start Screen Saver or Put Display to Sleep. Use fast user switching. Fast user switching allows you to quickly log into another user account on your Mac.
Even in sleep mode, wakes to provide access to shared resources, such as shared printers or Music playlists. Enable Power Nap. Checks for email, calendar, and other iCloud updates while sleeping on battery power. Allow power button to put computer to sleep. Allows you to press the power button to put your computer to sleep.
In the old days when computer screens were made of phosphorus (like old TV’s) if you left the same image in your screen it becomes burned into the screen and stayed there permanently, so it was necessary to run a ‘screen saver’ after a few minutes of no activity to make sure your screen was not damaged. Thats no longer an issue with LCD screens, but there are a host of ‘screen saver’ applications that turn your screen into an aquarium and so on. This app is one of the classiest that I’ve seen, it turns your screen into an old flip style clock display.
How to install quake 2 xp model. The screen saver is called ‘Fliquo’ and you can download it from here.

You can select how long the delay is before the screen saver appears from 1 minute up to 1 hour. I have selected 2 minutes.

I have a MacBook Pro and every time I leave the computer running for a long period of time, the computer puts itself to sleep and asks a password to wake it up.
Apocalipsis download. Apocalipsis is a point-and-click adventure game, in the vain of Samorost and Machinarium, where all puzzles have a hidden meaning. With a unique artstyle inspired by 15th century engravings it tells a story about heartbreak, redemption and, quite literally, the end of the world.
Undoubtedly such a password protects my MacBook with the easiest way, and this option is set by default while my MacBook is login with a user password. But it seems troublesome sometimes. And probably it would lock me out of Mac while I suddenly forget Mac password.
So I try to stop OS X from asking for password after waking up from sleep. If you need to do this, you had better make sure your Mac is running in your home network and nobody could use your Mac without permission except you. Otherwise, your Mac will face a security problem.
Let's see how to disable password requirement when waking up Mac from sleep.
Step 1: Click the Apple Menu on your Mac and choose System Preferences.
Step 2: Find and click the option Security & Privacy in System Preferences.
Step 3: Click the lock at the left-bottom side to remove with administrator password.
Before changing settings on System Preferences, it is necessary to state you have administrative privileges. So usually the 'require password after sleep' is greyed out while you have not removed the lock on system settings with administrator.
Step 4: Under General tab, uncheck the option 'Require password after sleep or screen saver begins'.
Now click Apple Menu Sleep to make your Mac sleep and you can see whether it still requires password after waking up from sleep.
